Biography Of Theatre Mirrors
Captain
Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey is known in Ghana as a lawyer and former MP/Deputy
Minister. What is not known is that on 26th April 1986 he called 15
artistes together and after prayers declared the birth of a new theatre group
called the THEATRE MIRRORS.
Powered
on by two solid granite principles of By the Grace of God and Nobody is
Indispensable the group has marched on consistently from that day until today
with a track record of 1,350 public performances of a repertoire of 72 scripts.
The
nominal roll is almost always between 25 and 35.
Theatre
Mirrors boasts of having produced super stars like Kalsom Sinare, Emmanuel Armah,
Enoch Hammond and Esther Yirenkyi, and they have powerful all time best scripts
like For the Love of a Woman, Nana Adinkra and Medical Bills, each of which can
be performed with two weeks notice.
Since
2nd July 2011 Theatre Mirrors has regularly performed every Saturday
at their base, Citizens Center in Asylum Down.
